Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions
University of Denver Students for Justice in Palestine supports the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions campaign (BDS).
BDS is a global movement that fights for the boycott of Israeli goods, the divestment from Israeli Corporations and international corporations that benefit from Israeli Apartheid and military operations, and sanctions against the state of Israel until they recognize and respect the rights of Palestinians and comply with International law.
In July of 2005, a call was made from Palestinian Civil Society for the international community to support a campaign intended to pressure Israel into complying with international law and respecting Palestinian rights. (Read it here) As student activists standing in solidarity with the people of Palestine, we respect and follow the lead of Palestinian activists by supporting and promoting the BDS campaign.
